According to google's description (https://books.google.com/ngrams/info), there are millions of books behind. Results are normalized by the number of books published in each year.

But, you're right, for combination of words (like quick and dirty), percentages are awfully small.

I did a similar exercise across languages with Snow White's Dwarfs :))

For some languages the numbers are ridiculous, but it remained fun to do!
