It’s hard for me to write without sarcasm, but I’ll give it a shot! :D

I’m impressed by your system. From my experience here, very few people have such a developed one. A lot of writers are just giving 0 or 50 claps, making it more a like button than anything. I like the 5 stars proposal somewhere in the comments. Could be easier to make the claps/stars a rating sytem. Most likely, though, writers would give 0 or 5 stars.

If you give one clap or 42, the notification is the same. Someone has to check (obsessively I might add) the article itself to see the number of claps given by each clappers.

Claps can give a writer a boost, so I think they’re always appreciated, one or 42

Also, I’m not interested in claps per se, much more in views/reads. The more reads the more $. Or comments, I like comments. For my fiction short/stories articles, I’m more looking for comments and feedback (I’m not good enough most likely to make $$ with them and they don’t get much views around here anyway)
