Most of us aren’t trendsetters, and being the first to comment or like might feel strange. We’re afraid to post the first comment in the same way we’re afraid to ask questions; we’re “worried or scared that it might be a stupid question.” Maybe that serious-looking tweet was a joke we didn’t understand, and commenting the wrong way would show that.
So, while the early comments and likes might not fool the algorithms, they should do the trick with the first few users that will see your content. These non-members of your inner circle, these outsiders, will be more likely to like and comment because someone already did it before. And, if they do, the algorithms will pick it up and push your content forward.
