Most of the AI accounts I see follow this pattern:

- create account

- follow 120 account a day to create a follower base through follow back

- become member, start monetizing and start publishing 20 stories/day once the follower base is large enough

It seems that limiting the number of accounts one can follow to 12/day instead of 120, and limiting the number of stories to 1/day instead of 100, would help a lot in reducing the incentives for AI accounts to join Medium.

Spam following and spam publishing are well-known growth-hacking techniques, also used by human writers, and it would be great if Medium could do something about it.
