Isn't Medium a "for profit?"

Why would they have to be neutral and transparent if not being so earns them more money as it seems to be the case based on the recent announcements (1 million paying members and cash flow positive)?

Groupthink might be good for the company as more people who agree with the views will want to become paying members.
