Overall, I think there are more readers who want entertainment than readers wanting honesty. But I guess both types exist. There's also a niche for "honest writing."

One of the problems is that there's no identity control or peer-review process on social media, so it's easy for bad actors to enter the "honest writing" niche. And maybe more importantly, writers usually give "only" their perspective. It's not the whole truth.
