Intentionally left blank

  • What would you do with one million dollars?
  • I would sprinkle poetry all other the city. I would buy advertising space offline and online. Some of them will be «left intentionally blank». Some will be coloured like a rainbow. Others would sound mysterious, showing only one word, like «broccoli». A word without any context or explanation, no call to action whatsoever. A single word, lost in the middle of a white space. Just written there to make us think, to brighten our day, to push us out of the ordinary. A word throwing us offtrack from our routine as a train would derail after colliding with an obstacle.
  • But after a while, it would become the new normal and people would just forget about them, wouldn’t they?
  • No! They would still be talking about it: «Hey, did you know that this billboard is still showing nothing but the word limestone, isn’t it weird?». These billboards would be tremendously efficient as icebreakers in meetings, online. We would be able to engage with anyone in a friendly manner. One could just stand under one of these boards, paying close attention, and then some other passerby would for sure stop and start discussing. Seeing this craziness in the middle of the city, in plain sight on their screens, people would smile and wonder how long it will last.
  • Maybe they could show quotes or questions as well? More food for more thoughts? Innovation and mental freedom spreading all other the place!
  • Absolutely! The first question to ask is obvious: « What would you do with one million dollars?»
