I think one of the reasons number of fans exceeds number of reads because some people clap without really reading.

I get the scrolling down impact the number of reads, but I don’t get how it impacts the reading time and money from reading time? If someone doesn't scroll all the way down but reads 2 min out of 4, I'm pretty sure we get paid for the 2 min read. No? Do you think it's different?
