I don’t know. I don’t have a definitive opinion on the topic, but it seems important to me that nobody forced anybody to be an editor.

If people want to volunteer their time, fine by me. I have several publications myself.

Starting paying some of the pub editors, but not all, is a pretty strange thing to do.

If Medium wants to have real editors, they should pay them real money.
