I believe people with the drive to write for a greater purpose, to change the world, are different, and money might be a side-effect of their endeavors, but it isn’t the primary goal.

But from my experience, many writers want to write about their lives and be paid for it. Few people can do that.

And if someone is driven to write for a greater purpose, I believe they will do the reps to make their writing better and easier to read. Having a message is good, but being modest about it and understanding that people need time and explanations is better. Again, few people can do that.
