Chance encounters in the elevators are gone, the coffee-machine flirting is nothing more than a sweet reminiscence, and have you tried to play footsy during a zoom meeting? It’s just not the same feeling.

You can’t stay late in the office anymore, because the office is CLOSED. Anyway, after attentively observing your work habits for the last months, your partner now knows that late meetings and last-minute urgencies never really existed.

Worse! This is long-term. More and more employers are willing to increase the share of remote work for the sake of reducing their real-estate footprints. Even if the offices were to reopen, they wouldn’t let you there.

And let us not mention the independent workers and stay-at-home partners who saw their world turned upside-down from one day to the other. They went from total freedom to being caged in a zoo (with their children).

How do you keep a healthy affair going in such a dramatic context?

First, you need to build trust. Or rather rebuild trust (your partner is a tad suspicious after this non-existing late-meetings scandal).

Share your location at all times with your partner. You’ll always be a click away. It might sound scary, but it’s actually of small…
