@ can’t afford their membership. I like that Medium is free to write and earn actually. I think it’s the nice thing to do. I’d say that if someone earns more than $5/month from their writings here, taking a membership is also the nice thing to do. :D

As to who’s a member or not, the info is still available on web, I see our green circle right now. On mobile, it’s not the case. I agree this difference is weird.
